Guardians of the water and the heart of the resistance against the Dakota Access Pipeline, an oil pipeline which threatens sacred Sioux burial grounds and the quality of the water for miles and miles. The protectors faced violent attacks, mace, rubber bullets, brutal arrests and humiliating incarcerations, yet they remain spirited, strong and determined to defend the rights to safe water for generations to come.
