Assateague Island, Virginia
Mary Anne Bonetti has been fishing on Assateague Island for years and has seen major changes. She said that, of course, the natural process of shifting sand shapes the island but that the changes are happening much faster than when she was young. She also talked about how she catches different species of fish compared to decades ago, and how sharks, now that they have moved into the area due to the warming of the water, seem to be competing with the folks who are fishing.
